Prepare and secure the arm
Choose a location with room for the complete set and clearance from nearby objects. Use screws and, where needed, anchors suitable for your wall material and the combined weight of the mount and set. Follow the hardware manufacturer’s instructions for hole size and installation. Check for concealed services before drilling. Hold the mounting part in position, check its alignment with a level, and mark the holes. Line up the mount with the prepared holes. Start the screws, check the alignment, then tighten gradually with a screwdriver until the mount is firm against the wall. Do not overtighten or bend the printed mounting points. If the mount moves or rocks, correct the installation before adding your set.
Fit the optional screw cover
If using the screw cover, fit it after both wall screws are snug and before installing the ball head. With the socket still bare, align the cover opening with the socket at the tip of the arm. Slide the cover over the socket and along the arm until it seats against the wall plate and conceals the screws. Support the arm and guide the cover gently. If it catches, check the orientation before continuing.
Remove the marked LEGO piece
Support the telescope without resting its weight on solar panels or other fragile parts. Remove the underside piece marked with a red X. Keep it somewhere safe and leave the surrounding structure intact.
Fit the adapter to the arm
Seat the Hubble adapter’s ball in the arm socket. Start the locking collar squarely on the socket threads and tighten it by hand. If it binds, back it off and realign it. Check that the adapter is secure before attaching the telescope.
Attach the telescope with the stem aligned
Support the telescope with both hands. Insert the adapter stem into the hole on the underside. Orient the adapter so its 1 × 2 connection is on the same side as the piece you removed. Check that the attachment is fully engaged; do not force the stem or load it while only partly inserted.
Adjust the angle and check stability
Support the set’s full weight while making small adjustments. Start with a level or modest angle and check that the set clears the wall. Hand-tighten the joint only enough to hold the chosen position; do not force or overtighten it. Steep or overly aggressive angles can move the set’s center of mass away from its support and strain the joint and brick connections. The set could detach or fall. The joint’s range of movement does not mean every angle is suitable. If the set slips, tips, or pulls apart, support it immediately, reduce the angle, or remove it and check the attachment. Gradually release your support only after the set is fully seated and stable. Check that the wall mount, adapter, and brick connections remain secure. If anything shifts or loosens, remove the set and correct the problem before displaying it. Support the set whenever you adjust or remove it.
